Greenfield Village | 64th Old Car Festival
We went to Greenfield Village for the 64th Old Car Festival-----the longest-running antique car show in America. Even though we were at the village just six days prior to the old car festival, we were excited to return. This year, Greenfield Village celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Dodge Brothers automobile company and at 1 p. m. there was a parade of Dodge Brothers automobiles. I even recognized a few of the Dodge cars that were at Meadowbrook Hallwhile we were there for the Dodge Days 100th Anniversary Car Show. The boys took plenty of pictures for me to post. While they were checking the cars out; I took pictures of J. R. Jones General Store that was built in 1854, formerly located in Waterford, Michigan.

Eagle Tavern Dining Room
The Eagle Tavern uses seasonally fresh local and regional food and it is prepared like it was in the 1800's. Just like great-great-great-great grandma made! It's good stuff!

Then we watched he Gaslight Tour at 7:00 p. m. .
Erich would look cool in a pair of spectacles like that!
The Boys
The fireworks were on display as we left the village. It was a yet another beautiful afternoon and evening at Greenfield Village. I'm looking forward to the upcoming events; Fall Flavor Weekends, Hallowe'en Nights and Holiday Nights. We're so blessed to have such a wonderful place to spend quality family time together.
