Recipe | Ham & Cheese Croissant Bake
With Easter approaching soon, I thought I would share an easy breakfast bake that can be assembled in advanced, and easily baked after returning from Easter Sunday morning worship service.
Ham & Cheese Croissant Bake
Ingredients:
6 Large bakery croissants
8 ounces of sliced ham or prosciutto
4 eggs, room temperature
1/4 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon Maille Dijon mustard
1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
Confectioner's sugar for dusting, optional
Method:
Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
Tear croissants in to medium sized pieces and arrange in baking dish.
Cut ham in to approximately 1 inch square pieces and arrange between croissant pieces.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top evenly.
In a mixing bowl whisk together eggs, cream, milk, Dijon, and salt.
Pour over top of croissant/ham/cheese.
Cover with foil.
Let mixture set for at least an hour before baking.
**This can be refrigerated over night.
Preheat oven to 350*F
Bake covered for 20-25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 until cheese is melted and light golden brown.
Let rest for 5 minutes.
Optional: Sprinkle Confectioner's sugar and serve.
